Hospital In Focus | Omni Group of Hospitals

Be it superior professional excellence, focus on tech or an empathy-first strategy, the Omni Group of Hospitals is all set to  scale the next level in holistic and human healthcare.

Conceived in 2010 as a 150 bedded super-specialty hospital in Kothapet, Hyderabad, the genesis of OMNI Hospitals lay in the intent of its founders to provide comprehensive & cost-effective healthcare services with personalized care as a central theme. The Group - owned by the healthcare division of INCOR Group - has been steadily building a unique identity of its own as a professional medical care provider that is strongly rooted to ethics and carries a clear focus : To improve the health and lifestyle of the community that it operates in. Since inception, the Group has successfully set up over 30 specialities including Cardiology, CT Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ortho Oncology, Paediatric and Neonatal Care, General Medicine and General Surgery, Urology and Nephrology, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, and many more high-end specialties. OMNI Hospitals is currently expanding its chain of mid-tier affordable tertiary care hospitals across southern India, and features six facilities in three locations in the region.

The OMNI Group of Hospitals is driven by a vision to create a healthcare institution that provides the best in class treatment at most affordable price, with empathy and compassion. The organization’s mission is equally strong and focussed: To be the lowest cost operator in the industry by excelling on industry cost benchmarks, aggressively preventing revenue leakages within the system and passing on significant saved cost benefits to the patients.

“Our goal is to provide best in class treatment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and hiring excellent doctors. We want to serve patients with the healing touch of humanity. We are achieving this by institutionalizing and following a work ethic that focuses on empathetic and compassionate behaviour from all caregivers at every human touch point during the patients stay in our hospitals”, says Group CEO Dr Aloke Mullick. A visionary healthcare veteran, Dr Mullick carries decades of mission critical experience across Clinical and Management domains both in India and overseas. His passion for excellence - manifest in a wide range of expertise areas like leadership & mentorship, operational and business transformation, benchmark-based cost management and strategic growth - extends well beyond healthcare : The man is a certified Heartfulness Meditation Trainer, always in quest for a deeper purpose in life. His motto of living life with joy and gratitude provides the moral compass, in a sense, to the organizations evolutionary roadmap.

It all stems from a deeply embedded culture where timeless values, close-knit teamwork and transparent work ethics create the perfect foil and foundation to a superstructure of hi-tech, professional excellence. “At OMNI Hospitals, we understand that you are human first and patient next. That’s why everybody here from our renowned doctors to our support staff does everything they can do to alleviate your worries respectfully, compassionately and with a friendly attitude. Along with this to give you complete peace of mind we assure you of an affordable experience with us”, Dr Aloke Mullick goes on to elaborate.

The USP’s of Omni Hospitals - special traits that help it shine bright amidst the cluttered and competitive market ecosystem - is a trifecta of superior professional expertise, advanced infrastructure and a focus on ICT tools and solutions.

Each consultant and practitioner at Omni Hospitals - the chain currently boasts 2200 employees across six hospitals in Hyderabad (Kothapet, Nampally, and Kukatpally), Vishakapatnam and Kurnool - comes qualified as per MCI guidelines and carries a large body of experience in India and overseas. Many of them are Heads of their respective professional bodies at the city, state and country level. The Group’s paramedical staff distinguishes itself with equal aplomb, and has every qualification and experience required as per MCI compliances. All hospitals are, of course, accredited under NABH.

Hi-end and full-spectrum infrastructure is an integral part of the Omni experience, featuring fully equipped Laboratory, Radiology suite with CT Scan, Computerized Radiography, Cardiac Catheterization Lab and fully equipped Operation Theatres with operating microscopes and C-arm Radiology. There are well equipped Interventional Gastroenterology and Pulmonology theatres as well, along with full-feature dialysis units.

The organization has also deployed a full-feature, mature set of ICT tools and solutions comprising industry standard Hospital Information System, Lab Information Systems, Radiology Information Systems, PACS, ICU Central Monitoring Systems, Tele ICU, Management Information System, paperless patient feedback system and Op to IPGP - with the goal of elevating hospital patient tracking systems.

Omni Hospitals is one of the first movers in healthcare industry to deploy a ‘Net Promoter Score’ based paperless patient feedback system in India, which possess a wealth of actionable information helping them to achieve greater levels of patient satisfaction. Indeed, some of the units have a Google satisfaction score of 4.5 out of 5.0, an industry rarity

To stay true to the promoters’ vision of providing high quality care at an affordable price point, the group follows a strict price benchmarking and offers many surgeries and procedures at fixed prices, often equivalent to that of good quality nursing homes.

All of this is a testimony to the fact that the leadership has gone the extra mile to brighten the smile of each patient that walks into the hospital with a world-class treatment experience.

A good deed is its own reward, but for Omni, accolades have flown in from other quarters as well. The institution has been awarded on numerous occasions, including being recognised as one of the most trusted brands in healthcare across the country as per an independent survey conducted by the India Today Group. Omni Hospitals has also been certified as the 30 Most Trusted Brands to watch in 2019 by CEO Magazine. That apart, UDAI Omni Hospital was awarded as 3rd best Orthopaedic Hospital in Hyderabad and ranked amongst the top 10 in South India by All India Lifestyle Hospital & Clinic Ranking Survey, 2019. That’s not all. Omni Hospitals was awarded with Telangana’s Best Employer Brand Awards 2020 at the 15th  Employer Branding Awards.

In the words of the Group’s CEO Dr Aloke Mullick, “The hospital industry is on the cusp of two dramatic changes: Compassion and owning the patients’ mobile. Whoever does it first will drive the next round of growth.”

By that token, the Omni Group seems well on its way to make a distinct mark in its chosen niche. Multiple events and milestones lie planned for the road ahead. For instance, Omni Hospitals is in the process of deploying several innovative practices and solutions for improving operational efficiencies and quality of care. Some of them are fixed price billing across most clinical care situations including ICU care, unrelenting focus on kindness and empathy, patient portals and remote video consultations, electronic medical records, expanded digital marketing footprint, AI based clinical and patient self help tools and AI based data tech.
Alongside, in the next expansion phase, the Group will be adding two more location and four more facilities to take their total bed under cover to around 1500.
Yes, the Omni Group of Hospitals is all set for a giant leap into the future of holistic and humane care. Now in India, and subsequently, around the world.
