Dr. Nikesh R. Shah is a Digital Transformation Leader and serves as the Co-Founder and CEO at Pred Health. He is a physician by training and brings broad leadership, strategy, technology and operations expertise built on a foundation of healthcare consulting, start-up experience, management education and clinical training. Dr. Shah has a stellar academic background, with an MBBS from Mumbai University and a Masters in Health Administration from Cornell University.

“The primary philosophy that has defined my approach to life is caring for people and making a positive difference in their lives in whatever way you can. As the adage goes “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel". Along with caring for people, humility is a must and I believe you need to separate the power/title from who you are as a person which can help you be grounded."

“The philosophy of caring for people and humility has defined my leadership style over the years and given I have been in the services business that is largely people based, it has helped me be more effective as a leader and given me a great deal of satisfaction. I don’t recollect a specific life-altering experience or turning point however I will say that I have had wonderful mentors over the years that have reinforced my philosophy and to whom, I am immensely grateful."

THE BIG VISION

“The one big goal or challenge I am passionate about solving is to improve the overall healthcare delivery in India. Be it access, cost, quality or experience, we need to do far better as a country and while we have all the resources, the incentives are not fully aligned as a system to make the shift we need. We need to build an ecosystem that provides the infrastructure and impetus for a sustainable change. This is a multi-decade problem to solve but my goal is to move the needle as much as possible and leave a legacy for others to build upon.
