Voice of Healthcare (VOH) has entered into a strategic partnership with Wadhwani Foundation, a global non-profit organization to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) address the various challenges faced by them. The partnership will work for the betterment and empowerment of the SMEs from the healthcare segment and will help in creating an Atma Nirbhar Bharat in the healthcare space.
Through this partnership, Wadhwani Foundation will provide assistance to VOH’s progressive MSME members not only to enable them to recover from the disruptions because of the COVID-19 crisis but also to help them grow faster and better than their peers through the ‘Sahayata’ Program.
SMEs are the backbone of the Indian economy employing more than 120 Mn individuals. In the current times, the impact of COVID-19 was felt particularly harder by the SMEs in India. The problems faced by the SMEs are multi-fold - from shrinking demand to supply chain disruptions to cash flow challenges… the list goes on.
A key concern of SMEs is the nil to minimal availability of resources and expertise to help them tide over the various challenges faced by them. One of the key focus sectors of the Wadhwani Advantage ‘Sahayata’ Program is the healthcare sector, which has shown great resilience during the crisis and the Foundation is inclined to support SMEs in this sector and act as a catalyst for exponential growth, leading to job creation.
VOH and Wadhwani Foundation will jointly select around 500 SMEs to participate in the Sahayata program over the next few months. Under this outcome-oriented program, the SMEs will receive personalized, impactful and actionable content in the form of videos, readings, articles, playbooks, and infographics curated by the Wadhwani Foundation, one-on-one or master class workshops led by mentorship from experts and access to consultants and advisors for further guidance in finding solutions to SMEs’ key business challenges. SMEs will have bespoke engagement models based on their business requirements.
The main objectives of this collaboration are:
1. To ignite the growth of SMEs in the healthcare sector and generate employment.
2. To inculcate the habit of operational, strategic and technological excellence among SMEs in the healthcare sector so that they can expand their competitive advantage.
3. To provide and train SMEs on best practices in critical areas like supply chain, manufacturing, Go-to-Market and others.
4. To strengthen the Indian healthcare sector by supporting and empowering the small and medium enterprises in the sector.
5. To help build both soft and hard infrastructure to accelerate and sustain growth.
This initiative aims to provide the targeted expertise to SMEs across varied areas. The Sahayata Program coupled with the various stimulus measures announced by the Government will help the healthcare sector grow and prosper during the current difficult times.
