Dr George Noel Fernandes - noted healthcare corporate leader, disaster management expert and speaker - has been appointed as the CEO for VIVEKA Super-specialty Hospital and Research Centre Pvt Ltd.

Dr George Noel Fernandes (a PG in Preventive & Social medicine; Travel medicine from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Scotland; Emergency Medicine and Quality in healthcare practices from Boston) carries over 24 years of experience in his domain. He has served with distinction in a slew of leadership roles such as CEO, COO, Vice-President and Medical Director for various premium hospitals internationally (Saudi German Hospital, Dubai) and in India (Apollo Hospitals, CK Birla Hospitals, Parkway Pantai Hospitals, Medicover fertility group), and led NABH, JCI, CAP and Accreditation Canada accreditations & clinical, operational and financial audits. He has also worked as Medical Director and Business Head with insurance and assistance companies (International SOS in South East Asia and the Americas; Europe Assistance-HIS in France and Thailand). Additionally, he has been the corporate medical director for Fortune 500 companies such as Group Medical Head - Emirates Airlines. 

Dr George Noel Fernandes is a well-recognized expert in disaster management and emergency/pandemic preparedness and has, over the course of his journey, working in various disaster areas such as the Bali Bomb blast, Haiti, various pandemics, tsunami etc and personally done more than 500 medical air evacuations. He has been a first responder and on-ground commander in various disaster situations across the globe, such as Earthquakes, Tsunami, Bomb Blasts, Hostage situations, SARS, HINI pandemic and more recently the COVID-19. Dr Fernandes is also a specialist in Hospital Mergers and Acquisition, Hospital Operations and Management, International Corporate Health, Medical Risk Management and planning of Global Health Incidents - and a frequent speaker and regular expert resource for TV and print media.
