Dr Minnie Bodhanwala to shoulder additional responsibilities at Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company as MD Jeh Wadia steps down.

09 April 2021: With Jeh Wadia opting against renewing his contract (which ran its course on 31 March 2021) as Managing Director of the Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company, Dr Minnie Bodhanwala will be overseeing the day-to-day management of the organization - during the interim period.

Dr Minnie Bodhanwala – who is one of the Directors of Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company and is also the CEO of Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children / BJWHC in  Mumbai – will be supervising Mr Suresh Khurana (CEO, PSF) and Mr Hitesh Vora (CFO), two leaders who have been assigned managerial onus over daily issues and aspects of the organization during this phase. The Strategic Committee of the Board of Directors, which features Chairman Mr. Nusli N Wadia, will continue to provide suitable guidance as before.

The above development was disclosed by Bombay Dyeing in a BSE filing after the conclusion of the meeting of its Board of Directors.

As CEO  and driving force behind the iconic, nearly century-old, Wadia Hospital in Mumbai, Dr Bodhanwala has been steering the organization from strength to strength, adding several feathers to its caps - such as the distinction of being the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the country with 155 beds and more than 34 sub-specialities like cardiology, neurology, nephrology… a ‘First of its kind’ IVF clinic…  the unique initiative called Little Hearts Marathon which aims to spread awareness for the prevention of cardiac diseases among children… and multiple social charities and community development works, to name some.

Dr Minnie Bodhanwala is already an advisor to the Chairman of Wadia Group and Sir Ness Wadia Foundation (apart from several front-running global bodies such as the WHO, UNICEF and UNDP).
