4th May 2021: MediBuddy, India’s largest digital healthcare platform has unveiled their new campaign Every Single Breath to commemorate World Asthma Day which is on 4th May 2021. Through this campaign, MediBuddy aims to raise awareness about the breathing difficulties that asthmatics can struggle with in seemingly normal situations.
Asthma continues to be a major worrisome disease, with an estimate of 235 million people suffering from asthma globally and 1 in every 50 people in India. Adults and children alike are susceptible to the disease which is often characterized by breathlessness, wheezing, cough and chest tightness that may vary in occurrence and severity.
This World Asthma Day, MediBuddy encourages individuals to be mindful of those with breathing difficulties for whom Every Single Breath counts. Breathing is something most of us do not even think about. However, for those with Asthma, it can be a struggle. Situations that we usually consider normal and harmless can turn into triggers for a full-blown asthma attack for an asthmatic patient. While other individuals take breathing for granted, for a person with Asthma, Every Single Breath counts.
Commenting on the campaign, Satish Kannan, Co-Founder & CEO, MediBuddy said "It is easy to underestimate the relevance of 'breathing freely' for people who do not grapple with an asthmatic condition. Triggers can be anywhere and all around, and most of us do not realize how a simple situation can turn dangerous for someone with Asthma. With the initiative Every Single Breath, we at MediBuddy encourage individuals to be mindful of those with breathing difficulties, especially during these COVID times.”
